BHS 150 Introduction to Behavioral Health and Social Services**
This course offers a survey of the behavioral health and social services professions, including scope of practice and training requirements and exploration of employment opportunities in the field, and self-assessment/academic planning for a career in mental health. It also provides an overview of mental health disorders and first responder skills in a mental health crisis situation.
3 hours lecture, 2 hours laboratory.
