The General Business Certificate provides students with a basic knowledge of business practices. It is designed to improve students’ skills and help prepare them for a career in business.

Students who successfully complete this program will be able to do the following:
- Demonstrate the ability to apply practical math skills used in business situations which include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.
- Explain the process of maintaining proper accounting records for a business and demonstrate the skills required to maintain such records.
- Define the environments in which a business operates in local and global markets, including technology influences.
- Examine the importance of ethical behavior and social responsibility in a business environment.
