HLT 102 Introduction to Dental Assisting
This course provides a basic understanding of the professional qualifications and legal responsibilities of the dental assistant, including ethical standards established by the profession. The dental office environment and roles of the dental healthcare team will be explored. Other topics include the principles of oral anatomy, the study of tooth form and function, dental numbering systems, and the concepts of oral health and prevention of dental disease.
