HLT 108 Dental Radiography and Medical Emergencies*
This course presents a study of dental radiographic equipment and radiation safety. The student will practice exposing, sequencing, and evaluating dental radiographic images. Additionally, the student will explore the concepts of preventing and responding to medical emergencies in a dental office. The student will job shadow in a dental office to gain a better understanding of the duties of the dental assistant.
2 hours lecture, 1 hour clinical, 1 hour laboratory.
